Comparative survey research often has to deal with challenges related to working and surveying in multiple languages (e.g., producing. questionnaires in different languages, training interviewers for different linguistic groups; reporting and documenting in either different languages or a lingua franca). The key areas identified to date in research undertaken by CSDI members are outlined below. A number of CSDI colleagues have published on various aspects of these topics and have formulated goals for research on several of these areas. No single work group currently addresses or coordinates all of these topics.
